PRIDE or FRIED?

Main Entry: 1pride
Pronunciation: 'prId
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English pryde, from prud proud -- more at PROUD
1 : the quality or state of being proud: as a : inordinate self-esteem : CONCEIT b : a reasonable or justifiable self-respect c : delight or elation arising from some act, possession, or relationship
2 : proud or disdainful behavior or treatment : DISDAIN
3 a : ostentatious display b : highest pitch : PRIME
4 : a source of pride : the best in a group or class
5 : a company of lions
6 : a showy or impressive group

'pride'...i hate this word. it builds or it destroys. if it builds, then it must be good? nah! only good for self-interest. sometimes it's cool to have it, but i'd rather not have.

what i'm craving for now, is fried...yeah!...that famous Max's Fried Chicken...i wanna come home for that....wanna have some fried?

Last Weekend

I wanna share this new discovery, the SUPER GRILL PAN!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

'got it sometime ago but only managed to try it last sunday. It did worked!, 'was able to achieve a grilled barbecue effect and taste. The only thing is that I got splatted with hot oil that was extracted and accumulated in the process. Lesson learned is to monitor and take away excess accumulation of oil so as not to fry the meat.

here's the magic marinate formula:
- chopped garlic
- ground pepper
- kikkoman premium soya sauce
- calamansi extracts (the more the better)
- sprite or 7-up

while grilling:
- mix the marinate with olive oil, occasionally wipe over meat. It keeps the meat tender specially if you want it to be well done, also helps to absorb more taste from the marinate.

last sunday had a rare treat of sports entertainment. stumbled upon the F1 race on its halfway, very fierce competition between Schumi and Alonzo. very exciting because Alonzo trailed behind Schumi throughout the race even if his car is much faster then Schumi's (based on the car's computerized recordings available during the race). it was inevitable for Shumi that he has no chance of leaving Alonzo far behind so he employed a strategy of just maintaining a safe pace but defensively not allowing Alonzo some space to overtake.

i've never been a football maniac, but while scanning the channels my attention was somehow catched by the semifinal match between West Ham and Middlesborough during just past the second half with 0-0. maybe because of the agressiveness showed by both teams, i really become engrossed watching as the game develops. then of a sudden, a magnificent unusual left kick from the West Ham player (forgot his name) created a glorious goal, it brought me to some sort of orgasmic feeling, almost jumped from my seat of sheer euphoria. enlightenment, this could be...and yes, i'm now looking forward to watching more football....looking forward to West Ham's final match against Liverpool in the final....and yeah the World Cup (defending brazil-the team to watch out with Ronaldo, Ronaldhino and a young boy touted as 'the next Pele').

monte carlo tennis finals saw one of the greatest games ever played by both Federer and Nadal. truly Federer is not that at all untouchable, while the clay king Nadal is nothing but superb and magnificent.

Thoughts To Ponder On

"Real sharpness comes w/o effort
No growth w/o assistance
No action w/o reaction
No desire w/o restraint"

"there is nothing we can hold on to in this world
only by letting go can we truly possess what is real"

Sabado de Gloria

Yesterday was Good Friday. For Catholics, traditionwise, my parents would not allow us to make any noise or do fun activities as they say 'Jesus is still sleeping.' No offence but tradition is very subjective to me. So i did, bothered to jam!Yeah!

Jam with the 'aimless group' went fine. did some new songs and we had good takes, considering Norman our vox wasn't able to jam.

Rightafter, the jam with the 'amazing greats' (not the official band name) was cool. I'm really amazed how this kids can pull-off such pieces with 6 songs a week, that is too much pressure eh! My part though have some hiccups that i intend to make good the next time:
-foo's the best: i totally forgot about the alternating hits on the bridge part...unforgivable. the ending part's got kickass hitting... 'cant believe i fumbled that climax part.
-jet's are you gonna be: tak tak tak padugudugu, will hit right next time, promise.
-killers' mr. brightside: can't believe i missed printing my reference for this one. fortunately it went smooth.
-in the shadows: i must have been kicking extra bass on that song...hmmm
will give extra attention to details next time, promise!

Was playing hide and seek with Stefi this morning. I'm always the searcher who does surpise checks like shouting "are you BELOW THIS TABLE!!!" (knowing she's not). To her it was funny that she can't help laughing, gives me the hint where she was hiding. Wife bought her a skirt that looks like a 'tutu.' Little girl was wearing it this morning...twas funny to watch her pretending like a ballet dancer. Should post that vid sometime.

Sky's gloomy...tsk!...hopefully we get to play tennis tonite.

The Greatest Gift

Thanks for being a part of me!

MY WAVE

Here am I. Officially, a blogger.

This is not about the world, not you nor us.
This is me, just me.

What am I trying to achieve here? I dunno, yet.
Like a stone, I'll drop myself onto the water,
create some waves or something. I dunno yet,
could be a splash or tsunami? We'll see...my wave.

What's past is past. The wave is all about now
and tomorrow. So whatever it is here today
or later, just reminding you, its me. Just me.

Whoever inspired me for doing this, I can't
say anything yet. Coz i dunno yet, really.
I'll just immerse myself first and see what
happens. We'll see...yeah! my wave.

What I have and what don't I have, I have for
a reason. It's not your business to know about
it. You shouldn't give a damn. But since you
are here, for your sake then I should tell you.

Its just me.

This is my wave.
